Thank you all so much for signing up for my feed blitz subscription... I was truly amazed on how many people signed up...That makes me feel awesome. I feel the love. I would be happy to fix it for you..:o)

Sorry it's been so quiet here this weekend, I've been so busy with my new up and coming job... some of you may already know, but I"m training to be a group x instructor aka Group Fitness Instructor. I will be teaching classes full time by this fall, but I've got some part time classes coming up in about a month... I'll be teaching cycling, kwando, pilates, & powerflex classes... those will be my basics, I hope to get certified as a Yoga Instructor as well, but there are a lot of certifications to complete to get through all these, so I will be packing them in this summer... busy, busy, busy. But I love it, I love staying busy, and I love the gym... So I'm really excited about this. There is nothing like working out with friends and finding your smile, when life stresses you out.

Speaking of finding your smile... I've got a new goodie for you. I know goodies always make you smile. Lol. I was playing around with some textures, and grunge brushes that I made and came up with these cute textured papers... I hope you enjoy them.

Friday Freebie & a whole lot more

>> Thursday, April 26, 2007

So, I've been giving this some thought all week, and I think really well when I'm inspired by something... But its really been bothering me at the loss people go through, lately. My heart really went out to Lauren Reid when I read her blog the other day. Her loss of her Grandfather and her neighbor's son. Who was taken way to early. Then there's Kellie (Miles Mom) and her strength through the loss of her son at an early age (read about Kellie & her family here).. I know loss is normal, but the survivors that are left behind is what really made my heart ache. We are a big niche of scrappers who dont really know each other that well, but we do share a lot in common, and that is Digital Scrapping. The way these people feel makes me really want to reach out and give them a hug. So since I cant reach throught he computer, I decided to hug the only way that I know how... So here's my hug to Lauren & Kellie! I hope that you all can feel this hug, and know that other's are thinking of you. I also want everyone else that is feeling any loss in there lives to feel this hug as well. God Bless You All!

Here I was sitting at my son's school waiting to drop him off, and I see this tree.. I dont know why, but I felt inspired to take a picture of it. Now I've seen these tree's all of my life... now why did this particular one draw me to want to take a picture of it? I dont know... but it did. So here's my mini kit?

Also, I decided to play around with a layout today as well... Now, don't fall out of your seat... I know its been awhile. Lol. I was shocked at how different life is just playing around with a layout. Its been so long, I thought I might have forgotten. But I guess its like riding a bike. I just jumped back on and took off... and realized I still knew how to do it. :o) So here is the results of the layout.

What really inspired this layout is a friend of mine made the pretty little flower, and I just had to do a layout just to use it... She did a pretty good job, don't you think? And it just happened to work well with my paper pack I just released yesterday...And isn't the darling singing just something else. I have another one coming of my son singing his heart out as well.. I swear I'm raising hams. Lol. In case you are wondering who the wonderful friend is that made that flower, you might want to see what else she's doing. Check her out here!

Elemental Scraps

Sooo... I wanted to share with you my first assignments that I completed for Elemental Scraps Element Team.. You really got to check these ladies out. My first assignment was called Passion Fruit. and here's the preview for the kit that I completed for it.. I actually started on an add on pack for this one.. so there is more to this kit that is not shown in this preview... like a silver dragonfly that just completed Rawked! I loved it.

My second assignment was called Watermelon Seed... I sure had fun making this one. The colors just scream fun to me. I was going for a kids feel on it.. and I think I nailed it. Every part of this kit was just a blast to make. I hand drew the watermelon and the watermelon leaf and turned them into puffy stickers.. btw, I'm just loving puffy stickers right now. And I have to say I'm notorious for my word art.. so I cant make a kit without word art. :o)

So what do you think? You like 'em? I'm pretty happy with them. I think I did a great job... I was impressed. I think there is a hidden talent inside of me that is just screaming to come out. :o) Good for you guys, huh? Well, if you want your chance to earn these you have to go to Elemental Scraps forum/Scrappers Alley and complete 4 challenges a month and post them in the gallery in the correct locations and these cute little kits will be combined with a few other designers kits and be given away for your enjoyment! Go to the link given here, check it out.. and go get your chance to win these little freebies... there is no luck involved. This is not random give aways. You complete a layout, you get freebies... simple as that. So what are you waiting for? Go check them out.. you know you are dieing to get your hands on these guys......

An update

>> Tuesday, April 17, 2007

I just wanted to send you a quick note letting you know why the freebies had slowed down. Its not because I dont love it or think about it every minute of the day . Lol. But I was having some color issues. My colors were looking completely off on my monitor compared to printing or what you were all seeing. So I ordered a Spyder2express from Color Vision... I just got it yesterday. And man o man, is that thing amazing... There is stuff on this monitor I never saw before because the shadows/highlights were off. It has been truly amazing to see this whole new world I have before me. My sister was cracking up at me last night because I was so excited about what I could see that I never did before.. I didnt realize that she had color behind some of her previews on her blog.. that is how bad it was.. I know funny, funny.. but its true. Lol.

So here's my advice to you just in case you dont know. Especially if you are designing. If you have a LCD screen (flat screen) versus a CRT monitor (the tv looking ones) do not use adobe gamma to correct your color. From what I understand adobe gamma was designed for CRT's and not LCD's. So you wont get the correct color. So I did some investigating on the matter and found out about the Spyder2.. .there are different versions of this device. you can find them all at colorvision.com do your homework. Its worth it. But back to my point. Its been said as a designer that you should calibrate your monitor every 6 months to make sure that your color stays consistent. This tool is amazing. You will love it.. its worth the money. I bought mine through amazon/amordora. And I love it... it has saved my designing career. I hope that this advice can save someone else the headaches that I received over this issue. :o)

Tuesday Chatter

Ok... so I have to say it.. Todays headlines sure put me in a sad mood today.. My heart is just breaking for all of those in Virgini..I have such a hard time with stuff like this... leaves me crying for days on how people can be so hurtful to one another. I'm praying for all the broken hearts out there.

Well on to happier subjects...I'm sure you've all heard, now that my little sister opened her big mouth. Lol...(love ya hun) And yes. I will confirm it.. We are working on our first collaboration kit. It has got me soo excited I can hardly contain myself. So..since we are telling everyone our little secrets. I can tell you that this kit is exceptional, and you wont find anything like it. I can tell you that there is a bit of competition involved in it, on your part.

I can also tell you that this has been the best experience I've had in a long time, collaborating with my sister. We compliment each other soo much, its amazing. Where I dont excel, she does, where she doesnt, I do... We make a great team. So be prepared to see more from us. Lol. Can you stand it anymore? Arent we awful? But we are fun too... And you will like what you get.... hope to tell you more today... :o)

All about me

I did this layout for another project. but couldnt resist not sharing it with you all.

R U confused yet? Well, then you know me. Lol. My husband says I have way to many irons in the fire.. I love life. The world is just one big playground and I'm full of mischief. I love so much stuff, there was no way I could get it all on one scrapbook page.. So I did my best. Its a cluster. and not usually my style. but I want to show so much of myself on one page. But believe it or not.. there is so much more than just that... I'm a mom to two beautiful lil' munchkins. I'm training to be a fitness instructor. I come from a construction background.... How do u get all that on one page. I love Rodeo.. I've been dreaming of it since i was a little girl. Now I chase it all over Oregon. Lol. I love to hike. I would love to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from Canada to Mexico. Shall I keep going? :o)

Now you can say that you know the face behind the designs. Enjoy! And Happy Scrapping.

Your Spa Treatment

My girlfriend Teri took me to Carson's Hot Springs for my birthday... and ohhh what a treat. It was awesome. WE had mineral baths, wraps & massages.. If you've never had one, ohhh are they worth it. And if you are ever in the Pacific Northwest, I recomment Carson's Mineral Hot Springs. Its rustic and quaint, but it is worth it. They have brand new hotels in, and they are really affordable. We will be going back for Mother's day, to treat our selves.. Make a day of it. You wont regret it. So this kit was inspired by this retreat of ours. I hope you find some use for it. I really enjoyed the colors and the making of this kit. I especially enjoyed branching out into some new elements.

Included in this kit are 6 papers, 4 tags, 1 massage oil bottle, one plaque, one envelope, two doodles, two word arts.

This kit had to be put into two different zips, because of the size... I didnt want to jeopardize the quality, so I left them the size I normally do. I apologize for the inconvience.

Stay tuned this week for my Easter kit... A preview will be shown tomorrow with links posted Tuesday through Saturday for each piece of the kit. Happy Scrapping!
