Al has done it again!

>> Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Al over at Actionfx has done it again! He now has overlays! Can you believe it...he's trying to make our lives just a little bit easier! Al just released today 34 full size 12x12 Overlays for making paper! Yep, you heard me 34 of them! Is that not amazing? This is the kind of goodies we get all of the time from Al. So, if you have been riding the fence about joining, this should be the reason to get off the fence. He is really working hard to make sure his designs work for digital scrap bookers. He's even got a forum set up, and our own section of goodies, tutorials, and all the other goodies that come like layer styles, brushes, shapes, photo actions. And they are available all of the time. No limited access like those other sites, you can download as much as your little heart desires, or you have time to do in a day. But, I head you one warning. Dont think that you can download all of his goodies in a month and walk away, because he releases alot of new goodies almost weekly. You'll be missing out if you do. He's rates are reasonable. Once you sign on, you'll understand what I'm talking about, and you wont want to go anywhere. Alot of the big name designers are there, and you know if they are there, its for a reason. So, if you are interested in signing up, just click on the box that says Actionfx in the right hand column and it will take you straight to his site. :o)

Now this gets better! Betsy over at Plaindigitalwrapper has come out with a program that is to die for. If you collect Presets (brushes, shapes, color palettes, patterns) well, you are going to love this. She has come up with a program for viewing such treats. I've had the pleasure of getting to test run it, and I can tell you that its quite nice. You simply open the program and it scans your computer for all of your presets. And with a simple click of the button you can view all of your brushes, or shapes, or patterns. You can view all of your presets thumbnail, filmstrip or tiled view as well... this saves lots of time rather than loading each one in photoshop to view them..... click here for Betsy's Preset Viewer!

Ohhh and one more thing...Betsy's Preset Viewer is 20% off right now... get it while its hot!

So now with the combination of these two goodies, your digital scrapbooking life just got a whole easier...So what are you waiting for?

>> Friday, October 26, 2007

Friday Favorites at PDW
We got some great friday favorites this week. come on by and take a peak. We have some new designers as well, so you are sure to see some new stuff! here's a preview:

Friday Night chat at SDS

Help me come up with some element ideas for a new kit I'm working on. Come get a say in what I design. Its a lot of fun, everyone that came two weeks ago helped inspire me to make the Whimsical Autumn kit that I released earlier this week. Isnt it cute? I love it. If you missed it, see below. As like any chat there is a freebie. Which will cordinate with the new kit that I'm working on. Wanna see? Here it is:

Scratched alpha, thats what its called, and its free for the taking to those who make it to the chat tonight at www.scrapdigistyle.com/chat , it starts at 8pm Pacific Standard Time. Thats west coast of the U.S for those that are out of United States. I know times are hard to figure out sometimes. I sure hope to see you there, everyone is welcome!

Creative Team

and last but not least... I'm looking for one creative team member to join my group, with the possibility of a couple of guest members. We are a busy bunch of ladies, with lots going on, so if you have a busy schedule already, this may not be the team for you. We have a couple challenges a week, and a chat once a week, plus I design like crazy and could easily have 5 to 6 kits a month come out. My requirements are one layout per Element/Paper pack and two layouts per combination kit (elements & paper), with a minimum of 4 layouts per month. We are a chatty group, so you will get a lot of emails, and there are lots of postings going on. We like to keep things fun, outgoing, and very busy. But we are loving, friendly, and always offering a helping hand. So if you think you can keep up, and you would enjoy working with my designs please send me an email to krismyersdesigns@msn.com I would love to hear from you. I will annouce as soon as the positions are filled.

I would like to let you know that it is available at www.plaindigitalwrapper.com right now also. I've posted it there myself, so I know its up. Thank you so much for your patience. :o) And sorry to tease you like that.

New kit & an Autumn Freebie

>> Monday, October 22, 2007

Sooooo.... I got to do some real playing this weekend? How about you? I got to play with my Wacom Tablet, and had a blast. I find new adventures in that thing everytime I give it a go. It truly is a blast. I love it. So I finished off a kit that I was working on, but I went with a little twist on it. I decided to make it a little whimsical. I guess thats how I draw, and a hand drawn feel sure is a lot of fun. So I decided to change up the paper a little as well. Do you wanna see it? Here is the full kit:

Pretty cool huh? I love the pumpkin crossing sign, and the the berries... and the frame, and the topping on the pumpkin. And what about that wind doodle? Pretty cool huh? Can you tell I love this kit... like I said, I hand drew alot of it. My favs are the wind and the pumpkin crossing sign. :o) Here's a preview of the paper:

I really love the green with the circles on it.. Those are hand drawn as well. Pretty fun huh? And check out the elements by themselves:

There is an overlay with those berries as well. If you use that with the pumpkin crossing and the pumkin, you'll love it. Alot of the pieces are separate so you can use them as you like. The leaf tags are all separate with the word art designed to fit on them, but is separate as well. There are two pieces of string to use with the tags as well. I couldnt decided which one to use. Lol. Even the stitches are hand drawn. fun huh?

Wanna know where you can pick this one up at? Well I would be more than happy to tell you. Lol. Its at http://www.scrapdigistyle.com/... So go get it.. what are you waiting for? Ohhh I know. A freebie... Well I have that as well. lol. This freebie is made up of all the pieces that just didnt quite fit with the kit. They are all great, but they just didnt go very well with it. Though you may disagree, so give it a go. And dont forget! I would love to see your layouts. Shoot them over, my email addy is in the right column. I would love to see what you all do with these kits. :o)

Dont forget share the love by spreading the word, and leave some love for me.

Da Bomb!

>> Thursday, October 18, 2007

Well, it was brought to my attention that "I" was Da Bomb! and I cant tell you how good that made me feel! I'm always so excited when I can impact someone's life in a good way! So I thought I would make a few people's day today (or night) Lol. So here are a few Designers that I think are Da Bomb!

I'm going to start with the trouble maker that got me into this. Lol

KariQ: aka my Sister. I would love to blame her for all this fun, but I cant, since I was the one who has to make the stand and take the blame. But I wouldnt have gotten this far with out my lil sis! We've been at each others side through out this whole adventure, running ideas off of each other, going over tuts together. Trying to make sense of it all. We both have very different styles, which is good for us! Could you imagine if we didnt? I personally think we have a nice contrast to each others style. Either way, she's my buddy, and my fellow designing sister! Thank you sis, for playing with me on this one!

ScrappyPony: Well, there is no way I could not get away with mentioning Heather! Heather RAWKS! I love her designs, I love her personality, and I love her style. We have alot in common... Love of Photography, the cowboy way of life (especially Rodeo), and designing. Heather and I talk off and on, depending on how busy we are. But she has been very helpful to me in so many ways. I love to just shoot the uhhh...talk with her.. lol. She is just an awesome buddy. But. pst... dont tell her. I remember how we met. :O) I had been following her designs when she first started. I noticed her style right off the bat. And thought, hmmm... this lady might be going places if she keeps up the way she's going. So I watched, and I lurked, and I lurked some more, and then one day she came out with this kit! Ohhhh it is so beautiful..So I posted about it on my blog! Then I went and bought it. Ohhh still to this day I can see that kit in my mind. It was a huge paper pack.Do you think I could remember the name of it? Nope, but I can see it in my head. Wait until about 3am.. I will remember then...Either way! Go check her out! Here style has grown into the most beautiful work, and I can honestly say I purchase her stuff!!! I just love it. And hey, why not support a friend right?

Misty Cato: Well, I dont Misty all that well, but I think I can definitely refer to her as the Da Bomb. Why? you ask? Well, her tuts and her style, and her life have inspired me to do great things. We are on a group together, and have shared small talk, but just kicking back watching what she does is very inspiring to me. Our styles are different, but her work is still amazing to me. I think of Misty Cato as someone that I would like to be when I grow up! Hah! But I'm not going to grow up... So I will keep dreaming! Lol. :o)

Fantacy aka Hillbilly Scraps: Gosh where do you begin with this one. :o) Fantacy was on my design team, highly referred to me by CT leader. What a great match! I love her work, I love her style, I love her personality. This girl always has me rollin' on the ground! I love chatting with her. Her personality will rawk your world. Fantacy is a new designer, that I forsee taking the world by storm! Her designs are awesome! If you have a chance go check her out! She will amaze you! And if you talk to her....well.....its not my fault you sides get sore from laughing. I warned you! :o) ROFL!

Ok. I have to leave it at that! Not that there arent other people that I think are Da Bomb, but its late and I have to get me some much needed shut eye. But before I leave I would just like to list a few other names that I think are Da Bomb, and well, you'll just have to keep wondering why! :o) (btw, they are in no particular order)

Amy Cheeseman, Michelle Coleman, Jen Wilson....and so many more to come!

Photo Masks

>> Friday, October 05, 2007

You have got to check these out! I'm already getting rave reviews and they've only been available for a short time. :o) They are called Photo Masks and used to decorate your photos. All photo masks are in png format and are compatible with Photoshop/elements & Corel PSP. They all vary a bit, but they have the same concept. Simply place over your photo and erase with a medium opacity over your subject and away you go. Your imagination is your ownly limitation. I've already gotten people tell me about how they are layering them to combine effects, changing layer styles on each layer, and mixing and matching different colors. So you know the limit is only your imagination. To top off all of this, they are going to be on sale at PDW for 50% off this weekend. Lookey see!

And lookey, here is a layout I just did with the picture shown above! The Photo mask in this pictures is from Vol 2.

Thank you for swinging by and Happy Scrapping!
