Howdy all,
Do you feel the Love growing in your home with the rapidly approaching Holiday? I know some of you may not have traditions in your household, & with the economy making things tight here in the U.S, it can be discouraging to start any now. But with the economy being what it is, this is the perfect time to start one. There is no reason that money should hold us back from having memories in our lives.
Start something new, maybe make a fancy dinner, maybe just decorate your table for dinner, and gather the family to have dinner together at the table. Maybe, you could get together with your family and just do something that you all enjoy. Games? Hiking? Window shopping? Maybe have a craft day, or decorate your home in the spirit of the Day. You could even have everyone make a heart and describe what they love about each of you in your family, and share it with everyone over dessert. Do you need great dessert ideas? Cupcakes are always a great choice, especially if you have kids. Make them personal, let the kids decorate them themselves. And most people have everything they need in their kitchen to make them with out having to go to the store. Do you want a great Cupcake recipe? Try this one. Its one of my favorites. One Bowl Chocolate Cupcakes by Martha Stewart. Dont like cupcakes, try Cheesecake, how about Emeril's New York Style Chocolate Cheesecake. Or keep it simple with Chocolate covered Strawberries, they are so easy to make, and agian, if you have kids, they would love making them and decorating them.
Are you single? Dont have anyone to celebrate Valentines Day with? Dont be gloomy, Love isnt just about having a relationship with one other person. Grab your friends, make a special dinner for them, and celebrate your love for one another on this day. Remember, there is no reason that this day cant be celebrated in a way that works for you and your loved ones.
