Big news!

Hi Folks,

Well, i have been one busy beaver. Lots of changes coming your way, they are all good changes. Big changes, with lots of fun involved.

First let me say that I am super excited to tell you that I have joined the design team at Digital Dandelions. What a beautiful store with a lot of great talent! Be prepared for my designs to really grow here.

Second, I've decided to really start expanding my horizons and have joined another design team at Scrap Delicious. This will be my last store that I will be adding my designs too, i promise not to confuse you to much. I will be adding my goodies to the store there.

Now before you get worried, my prices will be the same at all my stores, so not to confuse you. I will still be at Scrappity Doo Dah where you will still find my fun photography challenges.

As for challenges I have decided to move my 'Scrap Your Legacy' Challenge over to Scrap Delicious. You will still find it here as well, so that way you can stick to whats comfortable to you. But dont be worried when you start to see it at Scrap Delicious.

To add, with all this excitement, I have been designing like crazy. I've got some wonderful new kits released at both Scrappity Doo Dah and Digital Dandelions. Be sure to check them out. If you dont have time, no worries. I will be posting them here through out the week.

Join a Two Designer Team

Here are the details:

KariQ Designs & Kris Myers Designs and their Kreative Krew are growing! Come join the fun with our fabulous Layout Artists! Our team includes your own a blog, a forum, and two stores.

When applying for a CT Layout Artist position on our team, please be aware of the following expectations that are required of our artists.

• 4 layouts per month, of which 50% of the layout should be of the kit you are highlighting
• Only two layouts per kit is required
• Layouts posted to 3 different galleries, DST, SDD and the third is your choice
• You get the choice of working with whomever's kit you desire (KariQ's or Kris')
• Enabling of our kits with your layouts on a rotating schedule
• Helping with a challenge promotion on your K2 Blog, on occasion.

Both Kari & I have a store at Scrappity-doo-dah.com and are opening a brand new store at Digital Dandelions. We are still uploading product, as well as adding new kits, which will offer plenty for you to play with. SYL Challenge #3 - Alternate

Since we are on the focus of childhood, I thought it would be fun to talk about some of the fun things that kids say.

Your Challenge, if you should choose to accept it is to scrap about how kids say the darnest things. It could be something your kids have said. Or something you said as a kid. It could even express the times we live in today, as we hear about what other kids say. Make sure it somehow fits you and your life.

Details of the Scrap Your Legacy Challenge

Howdy folks,

This challenge is a great opportunity to tell your story, your legacy. An opportunity for your loved ones to get to know you, and what made you who you are. I have created this challenge in a way that when finished will give you the ability to put all this together into a book. You can join in at any time, and finish at any time. The point is simply to create a series of layouts to make up your book.
The requirements: This is the easy part. The idea behind this challenge is simply to do it. There are no requirements. You do not have to use my kits. Simply create the layouts at your own leisure and have fun, that’s it.

Here are some pointers to help you be successful with this challenge.
• Involve others in telling your story. Sometimes remember everything from our past can be difficult. If possible, talk to other members of your family, and ask them about some of the details you need in writing your story.
• Lots of journaling. For some people, lots of writing is difficult. We all understand how that can be. But, in order to tell your story, there is some journaling involved. Don’t worry about the specifics of your writing skills. Its not as important as explaining who you are. The way you write, is a bit of an expression of who you are, and that’s what this project is about.
• Don’t stress the time line. Don’t stress the time line on this project. It doesn’t matter if you get all the layouts done in the order they are posted, or if you get them done before the next one is posted. Take your time. When telling your story its important that you get it done the way you want it.
• Keep yourself motivated. We all understand how hard it is to commit to a project, because we are worried we wont get it finished, and don’t want a bunch of unfinished projects. To help you with your challenge, recruit a friend that can help keep you encouraged to work on your layouts. We hope that everyone here will share their layouts and help create the community to encourage others to join in on the fun, and complete all the layouts to have their own book.
• Extras. Each week there will be the basic challenge, one of the pertinent pages needed for your book, and later in the week will be an extra page that will be just be fun in order for you to add to your book with your own flair. The idea is that you can work at your own pace and have plenty to do.
