Life has been insanely busy in my part of the woods. Alot of you know that I am a group exercise instructor 3/4 of my day, a mother of two beautiful kids and I dabble in design work. Well, I lost 7 classes on December 1st, when I club I was working at sold out to another club. So for the last few months I have been desperately trying to find work, which has been taking up all of my free time for anything else. Just in the last week, Ive had a few moments to design some things, and thought I would show you my work in progress. My mojo is lacking since my time is lacking, so its taking me awhile to get these done. But I hope to have them released soon. what do you think?

I would love to hear about the new styles that you all are loving right now. Is there anything new that you are finding incredibly fun to work with? Is there a new kit out there that you are just loving right now? Element pack? Enlighten me with some of the kits out there that you are loving.

A Touch of Sun Photo Challenge

I recently did another photo shoot involving my Wedding Renewal this year. I just love the opportunity to get to play with photography. Its been a gradual growing experience. One I hope never ends. Here is a picture from my latest shoot.

I'm super excited because this year my youngest will be in 1st grade and that means she will be in school all day. Yeah!!! Doing the happy dance here! Hi Folks,

Well, i have been one busy beaver. Lots of changes coming your way, they are all good changes. Big changes, with lots of fun involved.

First let me say that I am super excited to tell you that I have joined the design team at Digital Dandelions. What a beautiful store with a lot of great talent! Be prepared for my designs to really grow here.

Second, I've decided to really start expanding my horizons and have joined another design team at Scrap Delicious. This will be my last store that I will be adding my designs too, i promise not to confuse you to much. I will be adding my goodies to the store there.

Now before you get worried, my prices will be the same at all my stores, so not to confuse you. I will still be at Scrappity Doo Dah where you will still find my fun photography challenges.

As for challenges I have decided to move my 'Scrap Your Legacy' Challenge over to Scrap Delicious. You will still find it here as well, so that way you can stick to whats comfortable to you. But dont be worried when you start to see it at Scrap Delicious.

Details of the Scrap Your Legacy Challenge

Howdy folks,

This challenge is a great opportunity to tell your story, your legacy. An opportunity for your loved ones to get to know you, and what made you who you are. I have created this challenge in a way that when finished will give you the ability to put all this together into a book. You can join in at any time, and finish at any time. The point is simply to create a series of layouts to make up your book.
The requirements: This is the easy part. The idea behind this challenge is simply to do it. There are no requirements. You do not have to use my kits. Simply create the layouts at your own leisure and have fun, that’s it.

Here are some pointers to help you be successful with this challenge.
• Involve others in telling your story. Sometimes remember everything from our past can be difficult. If possible, talk to other members of your family, and ask them about some of the details you need in writing your story.
• Lots of journaling. For some people, lots of writing is difficult. We all understand how that can be. But, in order to tell your story, there is some journaling involved. Don’t worry about the specifics of your writing skills. Its not as important as explaining who you are. The way you write, is a bit of an expression of who you are, and that’s what this project is about.
• Don’t stress the time line. Don’t stress the time line on this project. It doesn’t matter if you get all the layouts done in the order they are posted, or if you get them done before the next one is posted. Take your time. When telling your story its important that you get it done the way you want it.
• Keep yourself motivated. We all understand how hard it is to commit to a project, because we are worried we wont get it finished, and don’t want a bunch of unfinished projects. To help you with your challenge, recruit a friend that can help keep you encouraged to work on your layouts. We hope that everyone here will share their layouts and help create the community to encourage others to join in on the fun, and complete all the layouts to have their own book.
• Extras. Each week there will be the basic challenge, one of the pertinent pages needed for your book, and later in the week will be an extra page that will be just be fun in order for you to add to your book with your own flair. The idea is that you can work at your own pace and have plenty to do.

Hi Folks,

I've got a new challenge starting up Feb 1st, 2011, thats going to be released with a brand new Collection of Kits. Its called "Scrap Your Legacy". Its a 4month challenge that you can complete on your own, and share with us here and on my Facebook Page. (If you are not a fan on my FB page, sign up now, so that you stay in the know on whats going on with the challenge.) Over the next 4months, I and my CT will be posting a weekly and bi-weekly challenge to help you create an entire book of layouts, all about YOU. This is your opportunity to scrap your legacy so that you can share it with all the important people in your life. By the end of this 4months you will have enough pages to complete a book at your favorite location (apple, snapfish, my publisher, or shutterfly).
The new Collection that will be coming out with this challenge will have a variety of kits that will help you in your scrapbooking journey. So far, there is an element pack, a paper pack, Describe me Tags, Journal Cards, and Journaling Frames. Some of the other kits that I am project to have coming out soon is a "fill in the blank" word art, as well as some mini kits that will go with the theme's of some of these challenges.
Here's a sneak peak of the Element Pack.

My hope for you? To do as many layouts when you can, with out the stress of taking away from your life to much. But most of all, to have fun, creating a book that you could give as a Christmas present, or a gift to your Children when they are older.

School has started for one of my kids, and I had some time yesterday to whip out a kit. I feel so rusty, its been so long. Lol. But it was very rewarding. Howdy folks,

Honestly, I havent fallen off the face of the earth. Lol. I've been down for awhile with puter problems. I wish I could say things are all fixed, but they are not. I have had both my desktop and my laptop go down in a 2 week period. after many days of trying to fix them, we have had no luck. so they will have to be replaced. As soon as things come around I will be back up and designing. Of course, if you would like to help speed that up, My store is still open at Scrappity Doo Dah. They have had some problems with the server, but all is well, and they are back up.
I will stay in touch as much as possible, we are down to one puter which is a netbook, and I have to share with 3 other people. :o) Bare with me, it will all work out as it is supposed to. :o)

This session I have posted a challenge that allows you to highlight those photos! This session we are doing layouts where you use your photos to create your layouts. Are you folks a fan of hybrid projects?? I LOVE them...lucky us we have another fan of hybrid projects on our CT, that is hosting this weeks challenge. I can honestly say, I have never heard of this project, called hybrid dominios, where you make jewelry with dominos. But I really love it!! Check this out.

I've got a brand new kit in the store! Never been seen before! I was so excited to get this finished, so often we work, work, work, and dont get to do much for ourselves in this industry, but I love it, and I accept that is just how it is...BUT....when i got this kit I was super excited. This is one of those kits that i started a couple of years ago, and kept putting off to the side....well...its finally released! Yeah!!!! I hope you like it as much as I did designing it.

I got a full entire day of play yesterday (thats designing). It is soooo nice having the kids in school and getting back to my normal schedule. I usually (if all goes well) get one day a week to really sit down and design...that day happened to be yesterday!! Whooo hoooo!!! Sooo check out what i did with my time!

Two of these kits were rereleased, but have been relabeled and more goodies added to them, so they are RENEWED as well as RELABELED. The first kit back in the store and renewed is New Beginnings. This Renewed kit comes with 5 brand new papers and 2 brand new elements.
The second kit i got in the store yesterday was Frosty Days. This kit was also relabeld and renewed, with 3 brand new never seen before papers, and 6 brand new elements.

Last but not least is a brand new kit to introduce a brand new line of products coming from Kris Myers Designs. The new line is called "The FUN-damentals" meaning the basics you can use and mix together to create a large variety of different layouts. Be on the look out for many more to come.

You got it, my sister KariQ Designs and I have moved over to Scrappity Doo Dah. At the moment, I am still uploading product to the store, because everything is getting a new look. I am personally going over every kit, making updates to the designs, as well as adding more product to some older kits.

But dont be worried. If it just got a new package label, I have relabeled it with the words "repackaged" on it. If it got new goodies in and got updated, then it is getting the words "renewed" put on it. So watch for the new packaging. Feel free to ask away with any questions.

So, I have recovered from some of my puter issues, and lack of Mojo, and now I am swarming with all kinds of goodness...
